    Sync firefox bookmarks

I have a bootcamped iMac running Win 7 and Mac OS. Is there a way to keep one central set of bookmarks, passwords etc in Firefox for both operating systems? I don't want to use use Firefox Sync and store this data on a server.

since you're crossing OS lines, FF Synch is your best bet... is there a reason you don't want to use it? That's what it's for after all.

I don't like the idea of having banking login id's, ftp account passwords etc stored in the clouds.

Can you access a common drive partition from both operating systems? If so, you could just store your passwords in a KeePass database and access that from either system. Not sure about bookmarks, but I guess the secrecy requirement isn't as high for those so maybe Firefox Sync would work there.

Does KeePass talk to Firefox? I don't want to have look up and paste passwords everytime. If it talks to Firefox it would be great as stored login passwords are easy for anyone to look up in the Firefox settings.

    Re: Sync firefox bookmarks

    It would apper so!

Don't forget that those plugins are provided by third-parties, and not the official KeePass developers (as explained in the Big Red Warning on that page). Keeping that in mind, I would recommend going with a Free Software or Open Source plugin as that would allow you to audit the code (if you wished) and verify that it won't snarf your passwords

EDIT: all three Firefox extensions listed appear to be open source code \o/
