    DirectDraw/Direct3D are now merged into DirectX Graphics. It's a lot more like Direct3D now, though.

    Oh... well, that sounds a bit stupid... I also heard that there is very little support for Dx8... so I guess I'll just learn OpenGL.. have been planning to learn that for about a year...

    I know a smidgeon of OGL as well, just make sure you get the library that declares everything for you.

    Hey, Yuppers, Lol im into open gl, more so than pot and heroin

    its very easy and simple compared to direct x, though you should use direct input and direct audio / direct play for the other parts.
