    what the HAL ?!? :)

i've only got a 4mb agp card, but it supports D3D in games, but whenever i create a D3D device using HAL with VB it doesn't work.

is there anything i can do ??
When I write my code, only God and I know what it means. But a week later, only God knows.

HAL stands for "Hardware Abstraction Layer". Its the layer between the software and the hardware. If you are using DX8, try looking for driver updates, because you apparently have a pretty old card.

If it supports software rendering then you must pass in the HEL device.
