Math Problem
Any math people that are looking for an optical problem i can use some help??
So here is my problem.
I have an off Axis optic that i am manufacturing.
It has 3 degrees of wedge and a 155.93 inch CX radius of curvature.(S-1)
the back side of this optic is Plano.(S-2)
The out side dimensions are 17.378 inchs X 17.378 inches.
here is the trick i'm looking for a calculation that alows me to use an edge measurement to calculate the center thickness.
If you think you can help let me know.

I'm not sure i understood your problem:
You know the edge width (E). You know the radius of curvature (R) and the angle of the arc (A).
Then the center thickness will be the edge thickness (E) plus a part from the curvature which is R(1-cos(A/2)).
If the curvature is outwards you have to sum them, if it is inwards you have to rest them. Therefore
Center thickness = E ± R(1-cos(A/2))
Is that what you needed?
