I have given a task to make a simple codes that can manage a raw data came from Stand alone fingerprint attendance device.

I start to code how to get data from device and its working now.

My next target now is to manage this according to attendance rules of my company.

Can anyone give me best idea or best way to manage that?
Every Employee has different specified schedule.
Some employee must IN at 8:00 AM and Out at 5:00 PM (Out and In at NOON is optional)
Some employee are schedule to IN at 3:00PM and Out at 5:00PM
And some employee has different time schedule in some other day..

The purpose is to monitor late (minutes) and anbsences and print hard copy of DTR.

No codes to show for now. I'm just thinking for best way for now...

I guess the first part of the data 1,2,3,4 is the employee id.

First off, you would need to create a table to hold valid work times for each employee since each could be different if shift work is involved.

You then have another table that will store the captured data that you show. It will probably be keyed by employee Id and Start time/Date.

You may also require another table to assign planned absences like holidays, since on these periods the employee clearly would not be clocking in and you wouldn't want to mark them as late.

I think what is best here, as with any project, is to write out the spec, in great detail like a POC (Proof Of Concept) or a functional spec.
Then it all becomes clear on the requirement and what you need and makes things easier in terms of what you need, where things go in your project.
