Re: Issues with moving a project to Visual Studio 2010
Hey,
I am excited to report that installing the 32 bit version of MapGuide OS solved the problem. We are not entirely finished with the installation, and you know what they say: "It ain't over till the fat lady sings" so I am knocking on wood to keep my good fortune from slipping away. Right now the website is working and I resolved what minor issues surfaced while testing.
Most of these issues were related to the interaction between two separate VS 2010 projects and a single website. Of course these were the direct result of renaming directories (I didn't do it this time!) OH you do have to be oh so careful with that. All these sneaky pointers that lurk beneath the VS surface don't always change. But it's so tempting to make those little changes in MS Explorer. Well, DON'T, because you're gona pay. Take it from someone who learned the hard way.
I now have a loaded mouse trap inside a little box sitting next to my computer. Now every time I am tempted to use MS Explorer to mess up one of my VS projects I stick my hand in that little box, just to remind me what pain I will experience if I do.
Thanks guys for your help, especially Gary, and have a great weekend.
Sierk

As I stand here, on the fringes of my understanding, and look out over the
vast void before me, I realize all that lies ahead: The rest of Dot.Net. . .

That is a cracking idea! I think you could make a lot of money off of selling that

Ha, Ha, perpaps it should come standard with future releases of Visual Studio.

I sense a feature request brewing here
