need a suggestion about my thesis proposal .
related to software or web based or an system working
i am thinking about web based since we are Internet era like Social Networking,any suggestion.

Yes, of course, as long as you can think of something useful to do there. Anything related to social networking is pretty popular, but that has the added cost that there are lots of people thinking of things to do with it. Can you find something novel to do there?

A friend of mine, obviously this is a third year university student requiring a dissertation, spoke to the university lecturer for web development. The lecturer imparted to him that he had, in his career, produced many different papers that had been accepted by his peers, but nobody had ever seen them except for journal subscribers.

What if all of these papers and evidential information could be made available as resource for the world wide web inside the university domain as a single web portal.

My friend was invited to perform this task as his dissertation, including all evidence as to prove why it is necessary and to evidence the requirements to fulfill the database and programming and userbility and testing and so on... Also 12000 words would also be acceptable.

I look forward to receiving my books back once he has completed his dissertation.
