[RESOLVED] WP7 - Debugger
Hi everyone,
finally i did surrender to the facts, WM6.5 is over and my stuff will need to be migrated/redone.
First thing i noticed was the unavailability of using device debugging. Is there really mandatory of purchasing a MS account for that?
For what i have seen with that account i will only be able to use 3 cellphones (devices) and to have maximum of 100 free applications. 100 applications is way more then the ones i got, so no worries. But the 3 cellphones isn't really that much.

Re: WP7 - Debugger
Hello,
In terms of testing, you definitely want to have a developer unlocked phone, however, to get started, you should be able to get up and running just using the Emulator, no?

Re: WP7 - Debugger
Thanks for the answer Gary,
Don't think so...i need databases and webservices working. I'm not too sure if these will work in a virtual environment. At least in WM6.5 emulator they didn't.
My cell phone is already unlocked, problem is, it seems that unlocked doesn't look the same as developer unlocked.

Re: WP7 - Debugger
Hello,
No, in order for the phone to be developer unlocked, you need to have registered with the App Hub and paid your membership.
What databases are you using? Local to the phone, or external?
I don't have the emulator on this machine, but it should be fairly simple to test whether calls to external webservices works.

Re: WP7 - Debugger
The database is local, in the old applications i was using a sqlce one. The database was quite big, about 48mb. The only issue i had was when debugging, i always had to use the device and not the emulator.

That was one of the few good things i kept...student email addresses
I'm playing arround with the panorama control, am trying to build custom items, each item adopting the same behaviour of a panorama control.
