    Exclamation help me..!

    Hi..I want some help from U...I have some html page and I want to save it on clienside (through client-side script) whenever loading of HTML page in client-side browser is over. I don't want to ask the user to save the file by going File-->Saveas. Is there any code for it. If U know it, can U please help me...

    Being able to save files on a users harddrive when he visits a webpage (and without the user knowing about it) would be a MAJOR securityhole (this doesn't include cookies).

    The HTML-file itself IS saved on the users harddrive, in the Temporary Internet Files-folder.

    ThanQ for U'r reply...But, here I want to execute an asp file on clientside and the result I want to save on client-side.....(like for off-line viewing..)...If there's any way...please tell me...

    Anyway... CreoN is saying, no, you can't. And he is right. You can't. It is a security hole. All you can do is generate the HTML with the ASP and save it server-side and redirect and let the user check the "Save for Offline Viewing" feature.

    Then a few minutes later you can delete the page on the server.

    Mmmm... now that I think about it, you can add favorites without the users permission (which is wrong and should be fixed). There is an option to set a favorite up for offline viewing, n'est-ce pas?

    Look that up. Maybe when you set a favorite you can set it for offline viewing. But there shouldn't be a way to save on the client.

    Maybe even just preventing the page from expiring in the cache for a while might work as a quick solution.
