Traffic
Is it just me or does there seem to be less activity on the forums? Not just here, but others as well.

Re: Traffic
I've noticed the same thing, though it's really a long-term trend that is coming to a head.
Probably (a.) fewer programming jobs out there, (b.) fewer people have good Internet access in this economy, (c.) more people are being consumed by the proliferation of passive entertainment, (d.) more forum and forum-like sites out there now to spread the load.
And maybe numerous other large and small factors that don't come immediately to mind.

Re: Traffic
That might be something that could be determined from the database of this forum. A graph of posts/month, posts/year, threads/month or threads/year, might show whether it is true or not. Personally, I hadn't noticed. The only trend I notice is the large number of basic questions that show up in September and January, the start of two of the semesters in US schools.
My usual boring signature: Nothing

It was just a feeling I had, and I don't get on as often since going back to school.

All the questions have been answered.
Everything that has a computer in will fail. Everything in your life, from a watch to a car to, you know, a radio, to an iPhone, it will fail if it has a computer in it. They should kill the people who made those things.- 'Woz'

Re: Traffic
On somewhat of a tangent, I've noticed recently that
there are more viewers in the VB6 and Earlier Forum than
in the VB.Net Forum.
What could this portend?

There's more VB6 apps out there that need fixing?
More educational courses with VB6?

I'd bet on the second question.

I'll vote for the first one.

Isn't it easier posting in a forum, than reading the manual?
