Are there highly successful apps that were written in VB?

I have chosen to learn VB because it is the easiest language to learn. Are there any VB apps that have been sold and made lots of money?

Lots of money? Is that the only measure of a highly successful app?

Come up with an idea that is both good, desirable, and unique, and you will make lots of money. You could certainly write that in .NET, but that would be the easy part.

Since I started coding in VB I have probably earnt three quarters of a million euro - and haven't really sold anything*

*(VB is much used in business where it has been my companion for 20 years...)

Is VB adequate for database management? Such as healthcare documentation?

Sure. Database managment is probably the largest areas where it is used.
