    Embedding Things into websites

    Hi!
    I want to make a html-file with links in it, and when the user clicks on a link, not the IE goes to the destination but my Program gets a vertain Variable. Is this possible??

    I think you will have to be a little more specific. what kind of application do you want to communicate with, where is it running. some code maybe. Explain us a little more in detail what you want to achieve.

    This is what i want:
    I create a html-file with a "link", someone can click on this thing, okay?
    Now this page is not on my server, but on a standard free web host.
    Now, if someone running my program clicks on the "link", the program should get a variable filled.
    Understandable now?
