[RESOLVED] Why isn't the MVC Project type available

I thought I'd get the blush smiley in there early because I'm fairly sure I'm missing something totally obvious here. You are all welcome to give me a damn good mocking but I'd apreciate it if you could give me a bit of help at the same time.
I've decided to teach myself MVC and am therefore following this tutorial. I'm using VS2008 as described and I've downloaded and installed the ASP.Net MVC Framework. But when I go to create new project the MVC application option isn't there.
I apreciate this is all a bit vague but I don't have a clue where I should even start looking for the problem.

Everything that has a computer in will fail. Everything in your life, from a watch to a car to, you know, a radio, to an iPhone, it will fail if it has a computer in it. They should kill the people who made those things.- 'Woz'

I believe so but I'll try reinstalling it just in case.

Nope, still no joy. I tried installing the SP from your link then reinstalling the MVC framework from the tutorial, it didn't make any difference at all.
I was hoping to use this for a asp project I've got at work but I've already spent a whole day faffing around and can't justify any more time on it. I'll try again on my home set up though.

Re: Why isn't the MVC Project type available
It failed to install with an error message saying that a different version of MVC2 was already installed. I tried it at home this weekend as well and didn't get anywhere. I am confused

Woot, got it working. I got to thinking about that error message and decided to uninstall the MVC framework and try again. Reinstalled from this link and it's working fine. I guess the original install is a bit broken.
