    Re: CrystalDecisions.ReportAppServer.CommLayer

    It appears your deployment server does not have the crystal report installed or lower version. Check in server what version of CR currently installed

    Re: CrystalDecisions.ReportAppServer.CommLayer

    Then you need to reverse your reference to the old one. Open any of the located site web.config file and copy paste the declaration or try with this one

    in Web.config file
    Code:
    <sectionGroup name="businessObjects">
    			<sectionGroup name="crystalReports">
    				<section name="reportMappings" type="CrystalDecisions.Shared.ReportMappingHandler, CrystalDecisions.Shared, Version=10.2.3600.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=692fbea5521e1304, Custom=null"/>
    			</sectionGroup>
    		</sectionGroup>

    Re: CrystalDecisions.ReportAppServer.CommLayer

    As you can see there are 10.5.3700.0 is still there in many places. Find them one by one and change them.

    Eg.

    <assemblies>
    <add assembly="System.Design, Version=2.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=B03F5F7F11D50A3A"/>
    <add assembly="System.Windows.Forms, Version=2.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=B77A5C561934E089"/>
    <add assembly="CrystalDecisions.Web, Version=10.5.3700.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=692FBEA5521E1304"/>
    <add assembly="CrystalDecisions.Shared, Version=10.5.3700.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=692FBEA5521E1304"/>
    <add assembly="CrystalDecisions.ReportSource, Version=10.5.3700.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=692FBEA5521E1304"/>

    momoaal,

    Did you read my reply to your other post?

    This may very well not be possible. Talk to your hosting provider, they should be able to give you the options that are available to you.

    Hello,

    The simplest way would be to ask your hosting provider about which version they have installed on the server that is running your site.

    Re: [RESOLVED] CrystalDecisions.ReportAppServer.CommLayer

    @ momoaal

    Previously I checked with most of the Shared Hosting providers and their answer will be, " You cannot use crystal Report on Shared Services" ,by a dedicated server.

    Hope you will get the same reply
