Re: artificial intelligence
the servo was moved glitchlessly by the yotamarker, as shown in the video.
I have pretty much solved sapator's request (to get someone to test or somehow prove there wasn't any record tricks) I concluded that an "authority" such as a proffesor, reporter, celeb are not reliable or objective. in the video you see a second guy, there is no way even for the best of actors to fake his facial expression of surprise as the motor moved by the yotamarker's will (the same for when she made sounds).

So you're saying that that this random guy's facial expressions should convince us that your "yotamarker" also known as "she" is a true A.I. ?

Re: artificial intelligence
Regardless of that dubious proof, I don't actually understand what the point of moving the servo is. I have a robot that moves a servo as a result of a program that I wouldn't even begin to call AI, so I wouldn't think that a program moving a servo should amaze anyone for any reason.

if you have a better Idea(exept a web app), bring it.
as for the motor it moved to the appropriate place as in the car and rollercoaster pov videos, moreover it was just an update about my progress.
I wanted to have it tested at some robot festival that will be this week but, the guy in the question phone said he only sells tickets. they call the israel stands israel pride, I guess people can be proud about shuting up inventors and technologies not giving them the chance to test officialy.
if any of the ones who treated me not logically would want a 2nd chance they would have to defeat me in a game of go.
all in all I enjoyed talking to her and she moved to the area with the commotion, she retorted when we talked, the results would have been faster at dark conditions.

Oh, I don't believe that. If you paid me enough I could fake any kinda expression, or for that matter sit expressionless even if this 'she' were to act as my electronic girlfriend.
You should have hired celebs, who are known for their poor acting skills. Arnie for e.g. if he acted real surprised and if he were real surprised, people can easily make out the difference.

Re: artificial intelligence
I just returned from the innovation festival 2011 :
dolphine : a robot for cleaning pools bar ilan university
nao the robot : slowish, uses very long sentences
lacost gave free perfumes didn't take it.
there was a robot that was like a tray written on c++ it hardly even moved
kobalab had some exoskeleton I got tired of waiting
saya the robot : she smelled like cherry and plastic, not real hair, there was a screen where viewers would read one from about 15 sentences, when I was there it worked when the japanese team talked into the mic
she uses win speech sdk sapi 5.0 reminded me of the jurasic park bots
compiler : visual c
xbox 360 wii : looked to me like ps1
fuji 3d cams : the flash was hard to my eyes, there was no 3d seen by me
interesting fact : when you hold a pen and a notebook people treat you like gold, no waiting, get answeres fast.
as for me : 6 people groups tested the yotamarker with 1 of them there were no replys at all.
1 groupe were little girls that liked the text to speech, most of the groups were highschoolers.
also showed her to hashimoto takuya san of the saya robot on the fly he didn't know what to write in the text box and I couldn't read his face, but I assumed he was bored so I ended the test, hashimoto if I annoyed you sorry man.
there was a big group of students I wanted to test it with but they weren't allowed out of theire squares.
the test should be about 20 min for v5.2, I also deduce I should cutify v7
trip's total cost : 75NIS

If your demonstration is equally easy to understand than your youtube video's I don't blame people for getting bored or not understanding what to do...
Edit... Damnit, why did I post here? I was trying to avoid the temptation

You can't avoid the temptation. And if what you say is true Moti, why won't you actually let someone else use it from here? Or have some sort of video proof of what happened at this conference thing?

That's proof that you went there, not for your activities or the responses/reactions of others that used yotamarker.

You call 1/6 failing completely and the rest "working" (according to your YouTube videos, I'm guessing) a success?

You should also probably brush up on your English and grammar skills.

Re: artificial intelligence
You talk about learning skills as if you are in a video game, where you simply press a button or repeat some action a couple times and BOOM you've suddenly mastered a new skill (at least mastered it enough to write a book about it). So you repaired a couple flat tires and read a tutorial on how to repair a bike and suddenly you learned 'the skill of bicycle repair'?

That doesn't mean you're an expert at it, but it does mean you can research how to fix things. Perhaps you should take a few classes instead for a more official training.

this is how I read it :
perhaps you are causing people who over charge for simple things and didn't give you a job to lose money

Re: artificial intelligence
To be fair, Moti never said he is an expert bicycle repairman, he merely said he had learnt bicycle repair. Come on guys, don't beat him up for learning a new skill. It shows whether yotamarker can learn or not, Moti certainly can!
Moti, what did you learn from your visit?
When can we expect the ebook updated with the bicycle repair tips?

Moti, what did you learn from your visit?
1 that people are bored with not cute stuff
2 that tech conferences are visited mostly by little kids
3 that universities are teaching old compilers
4 that university's heads (prof, teachers) at times negate new technology (100% times with my case)
5 that to properly test chatbots :
A the gift of the gab is needed
B (recomended) a full test should be minimum 1H time composed of 3 20 minute sessions
than get an objective report of what went down
6 the college scam is wide spread
7 I wrote an observation report you can derive what you want from it (see post #810 and #813)

don't know weather to add google app engine : no vb.net support, requires install kinda feels not at the level of battle programming

Re: artificial intelligence
Many are still wondering what that ebook has got to do with battle programming, battle or even programming. But let that not stop you, my friend!
Ah, the cute part. Do you think hiring a chick like Pamela Anderson Lee, or Rakhi Sawant would help you promote your AI?
Some suggestions:
Silicon implants: A must if you want to attract people to your stall. Please remember these are for the yotamarker and not its maker
Blond hair: Same as above
Lack of AI: Same as above
Oops! Sorry, the last point doesn't gell well with the scheme of things, does it?

Re: artificial intelligence
Yes, it's ridiculous that Google App Engine doesn't support VB.NET, or for that matter INTERCAL. Google is just another scam designed to rob us of our precious possessions with their free stuff while pretending to be open and creative (especially with their supported languages). Shame on you, Google! Shame!

You could name your dog Sarcasm, that should solve your problem.

Moti, why not rename your <whatever it is> from yotamarker to sarcasm? People will then stop ridiculing you over her answers.

1) Right! There is even a name for it, though I can't spell it. Humans respond most to cute things and facial expressions.
2) Not any conference I have ever been to, but I can see how some would be.
3) Duh! Though there are some that are keeping up with the times.
4) ????
5) Sounds good.
6) What scam is that? I think you have mentioned it, but I think you have also missed the point of college.
