I got away from VB for a while, and I can't remember how to copy a file from place to place in a VB program. Also I can't remember how to run an independent program in a vb program. Can anyone help?

Hope this helps
Hi CERC!
Welcome back!
This is the command to copy a file.
Filecopy sourcefile, destinationfile
eg,
Filecopy "c:\test1.txt", "c:\test2.txt"
I dont fully understand the second question, anyway I 'll try.
To run an app, use the Shell command with the pathname.
for eg,
Shell "c:\windows\calc.exe", vbNormalFocus
Hope this is what u mean,
Jebs.
