new window new session

Hi guys,

I have got a query, in asp, in one of my sites, i am poping up a new window on click of link

now i want to access the current session variables in in that new windows page, however a new session starts with blank values for the session variables ..

can anybody tell me how do i access the current sessions variables within that new windows page ?

Also, i would like to say that i also have a recordset with session scope that i would like to access in the page of new window,

I have read that a new window in ie starts a new session, however the same functionality works very fine in one of my machines, ie. i can easily access the current sessions variables in the new window, however it works only on one machine and no other machines ...

Can anybody tell me what can be the reason of this behaviour ?
and how to rectify it ...

Only because you mentioned it, you shouldn't put recordset or any other ADO objects in a session variable..

It will chew up server resources very quickly..
