    Windows 2K Professional Help

    I need to rebuild my box and I can't find my product key anywhere. Is there a way to find out the product key in the registry for Win 2K Professional? Thanks

    I know you can with Win9x but I just got Win 2k today, if you want my number I'll give it to ya, just email me at [email protected] and I'll give it to you. Win2000 is off the hook! Especially when you only pay 45 bux for it.

    It sounds like you have it covered but FYI you can find the key code at

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion

    What do you mean by the key?

    If you mean the serial number then i can give you mine which is thi:

    Shouldn't it be on the back of the CD box? Anyway, if you use someone else's key don't register it!
