    Are there any sites for Direct Draw like http://nehe.gamedev.net/ is for open gl? Something with a tutorial thats starts with the basics?

    Try drunkenhyena.com which is the DirectX sister site of nehe. Be warned that drunken is down a lot, but they got some great tutorials.
