Winsock tutorial
I followed the instructions on this site:http://www.vbonline.com/vb-mag/0012/...cp/default.htm exactly and all I got was errors. Am I doing it wrong or is this tutorial flawed?

I've gotta be honest, that tutorial was pretty crappy First thing I noticed, in the ConnectionRequest event, the tutorial has "Winsock1.Accept requested" The argument that is passed to ConnectionRequest is RequestID. It didn't do a very good job of explaining other things either. You can find a better tutorial on www.vbworld.com or if you have any other questions feel free to ask me
Things I've Said:
"Life's funny like that...elephants can wear frilly lace panties, and Dubya still looks like a monkey in a big chair"
"Take four goats and strap one to each foot of a llama. Presto, goat-powered llama!"
"You want to get me to work more, get me a Coke. No? Then deal with inferior garbage, I'm not coding another line and your clients can go to......thanks, I'd love a Coke right about now!"

Wow, those are some...blinding...colors
Your code looks fine, emcee...don't know where the code is missing an object, unless your textbox or Winsock control has been renamed/deleted
