    Anyone else having this problem?

It seems that certain threads, I just cannot reply to. After I click "submit reply", it takes forever, and then I get a server error page. I thought it might be our firewall, but I tried it with SafeWeb, and it still does not work.

I think John should make a thread in which only professional programmers may participate. This way, when we are in a rush and don't have time to get billions of useless answers, we can post somewhere where we know only professionals will answer it.

I've been having the same problem. You will see a couple of times I've labeled the post [2nd attempt]. I finally gave up on posting to the welcoming Jimmy thread.

I also had one case where I got a page saying there was a DB error and that the technical staff had been notified via email.

I wasn't asking a question, I was answering a question...someone jumped in and said my code was crap, until they realised they hadn't read the original question properly. He's since apologised though so doesn't matter

Nah, wasn't him. He doesn't seem to apologise, whereas this person did (forgotten his name; his avatar reminds me of woody woodpecker if that helps).

True...he wouldn't have apologized...people who are always right seldom get much practice at it, I suppose!

I occasionally don't see the odd one or two but nothing major like the last time the avatars busted.

well ever since they did the new server I have had problems here at work (T1) about it loading slow. I have not had the reply problem. But at home it loads up just fine. So I don't know if it is my machine, since my work just patched win2k, or this server. I do occasionally get the avatar problem, as it loads up slow
