Has anyone got it? I've got it for PC, and it hasn't been unlocked yet ;_;
But then again, I have exams... ;_;

I buy roughly one game every year, it is without doubt this years purchase for me.
I wish they had kept the old Wheatley voice though.

Bought the potato sack, already preloaded it.
I heard it has co-op.
What's your steam-ID kregg?

I also pre-ordered it, can't wait to play, even if I don't have much time for the next 3 weeks and already play League Of Legends during the rare free time I have.

Re: Portal 2
The first was billed as having 3 hours worth of gameplay.
They are billing this as having about 12 (6 for the single player campaign and 6 for the co-op)

It would be nice to have the ability to run user designed levels. I'm sure that the community content would be abundant.

Yeah that would be great! I'm pretty sure the community would come up with awesome levels.

Re: Portal 2
I plan to pre-order it here soon with full intentions of starting to play it mid-May when my university courses are done with for the summer.
I really like the first game & I've been casually following the tech articles about the 2nd one too, it looks like it might be an excellent game.

They are planning to release it earlier than that on the PC. Valve are making Steam customers play indie games in order to release Portal 2 early. Some people are speculating it will only be released a few hours before the deadline...
If all else fails, it will be released tomorrow, and I won't bother playing on it because I have exams (post-exam treat ^_^)

I remember for the first game the same people who made the flash version of portal also made the same levels in the actual real game.
They were tough man... D; Nobody survived those levels... NO-ONE!

Bought it some time ago, can't wait! I just hope my laptop can handle it (I doubt the graphics card can...), otherwise I'll have to wait until the end of may before I can play it The story will probably be spoiled to me about 50.000 times before then so that's not really an option

If your laptop can handle Portal, then it hopefully should be able to cope with Portal 2.
If you want to avoid the story being spoiled, avoid the internet. I had the game spoiled to me this morning, and I was not a happy man .

Re: Portal 2
The thing I found frustrating about Portal 1 is that you can only complete each level in exactly one way. I'm not sure if they've addressed this problem in P2 or not. If not then I can't imagine it has a lot of replay value, especially if it's a co-op game. I recently played P1 again and found it a bit dull since I knew all the strategies from before.
The real question this time is: what kind of cake will it be?
I'll still probably buy it but I might wait a few months for it to end up on XBL and get it at a discount
I don't live here any more.

Re: Portal 2
I gave it a quick try last night and some more this morning and so far it's awesome The dialogue is epic, really funny as always (or it's just my humor, I dunno), and the graphics have a lot of potential. Too bad my laptop can only barely handle it so I can't really see any of that, but the level I was just in had some kind of floor panels that were being raised by mechanical arms with debris falling off them, I just stood there and watched it cause it was so awesome!
The only thing I found strange looking was the way Chell walks when you watch yourself through a portal. She kind of 'slides' across the ground a couple of feet when you stop walking. It might be just my low detail settings but it looked stranged. Oh well, you won't be watching yourself much though so i don't really care...

Re: Portal 2
Well, I finished the SP today. In one word: awesome. So much better (and longer!) then the first one. I love just listening to Wheatly go about his business. A few times he was waiting for me to solve something, and even if I already saw how to solve it I still waited for him to finish his lines because they're simply hilarious There's this one occasion where he needs to hack a glass door and asks you to turn around because he can't do it while someone is watching; if you're quick enough you can see him smash through the door and quickly act as if nothing happens hahahah!
I also tried a few levels of the co-op just now, it seems very promising although we didn't do very challenging puzzles yet. I teamed up with a random person though, I think it would be even better with a friend. I can also imagine people just screwing around in it in which case you're stuck trying to find another teammate...

From what I've read, some levels are like that but a few other levels offer more freedom - i.e. there is more than one way of doing things.
Still haven't played it. I HAVE THE WILLPOWER OF A BEAR!!

Have finished the single player and am still playing the co-op. Loved the direction they went with the story, and the ending. And the Space Core (I'm the best at space!).

Re: Portal 2
It's definitely not a very long, or super-challenging game. Its strengths are in creative puzzle-platform gameplay, witty writing, immersive atmosphere and setting, and great characters.

Well, I finally had time to play it, beat the single player in 10 hours. Awesome game, looking forward to the co-op this weekend.
