Another Earthquake!
This is the second major earthquake to hit our planet this year. The first one was in New Zealand. Now they have forecast a big Tsunami to hit the western coast of UNited States.

Japans 8.9 is sending only minor waves on the west coast of usa. So far something like 3' in LA but in San Fransisco its supossed to be bigger.
Maybe its just mother nature just sending us better waves to surf with

It's looking like every where except Japan is largely unaffected. Some property damage in waterfront areas but nothing major. Japan's been hit pretty hard though.
In terms of scale, though, this isn't patch on the tsunami that hit the area a few years ago so, no, I don't think this is mother nature givin up on us. She's having a bad hair day, not a full blown hissy fit.

I've had the page up for a couple of days and it is amazing to me how many there have been. Several above 6.0.

Was watching the clip of the waves hitting the coast and moving inland. They look innocent from above until you see cars and houses get washed away like toys there must be a tremendous amount of energy within them. Its hard to comprehend something of that scale happening.

Re: Another Earthquake!
We were talking about the forces involved today. Here's something to consider:-
A square meter of water weighs a metric ton.
The wave was up to 10 meters high (according to the BBC)
Assume that the distance from front to back of the wave is about twice the depth and the wave shape is a basically triangle.
That means the theres about 100 tonnes of force per metre of wave front.
Apply that to a house, say 20 metres long and you're hitting it with 2000 metric tonnes of force.
Water is heavy stuff so the forces involved are terrifying.

"A square meter of water weighs a metric ton." ??? Cubic meter maybe? 4 cubic feet of water weighs around 250 pounds.
They had another magnitude 6 at around 06:00 GMT.

Yes. 1 litre of water weighs about 1kg and is 10cm x 10 cm x 10 cm.
Hence 1000 litres is a cubic metre and weighs about a (metric) ton.

Re: Another Earthquake!
Sorry, I meant cubic . I guess a square meter wouldn't weigh anything due to having no volume and therefore no mass.

I'm not sure. It seems to me that St. Peter's Square has lots of masses.
It's interesting to note the number and magnitude of the earthquakes mentioned. I just read that Idaho has something like the fourth most earthquakes of any US state, yet a 4.0 quake makes the news if it is even close enough for anybody in the state to feel it. A 6.0, which would be 100 times as strong, would be all over our news, yet Japan gets lots of quakes that small.

I think we should be ready for every possibility. If 2012 is nice and peaceful and normal and nothing unusual happens that's just great. But if radical stuff happens be ready for it if it does.
Here's a link to a page started by the author of Mary's Message to the World.
http://www.marysnewsletter.com/junjul96.htm
Mary says in that message.
The year 2012 will be a year of monumental change, which will affect all areas of your life. ...
Don't be so much concerned with the outer things in your life; what you eat, what you drink, what you wear, or how you look. Be more concerned with what is eating at your heart, what you're keeping hidden from yourself, what addictions or obsessions may be wearing away your spirit connection, and of how you look in your heart of hearts. When you take care of the inside, your heart and mind, then and only then, the outer issues will take care of themselves.
Even if none of the predictions come true I think it's good if people are ready that they do come true. Be ready for anything you can imagine.

How exactly is Mary communicating with the person typing the newsletter?

Re: Another Earthquake!
Back when I was a copier tech and living in Los Angeles I saw that book, Mary's Message to the World, in a supermarket and bought it and read it. I got a lot out of it. I have the book and this is what it says in the introduction. 'Basically, Mother Mary communicates to Annie "strongly" through her mind, and Annie "hears" internally what Mary says.' It also says, 'We may well question the authenticity and reliability of these messages. Simply read what Mary has said and judge for yourself.' According to the messages we are now in the end times that are spoken about in the book of Revelation in the bible but it says in the book that that doesn't mean it's the end of the world but it says our planet will go through some rather violent changes. Lots of people will lose their lives but it's definitely not the end of the world.
I think the heart of the message is really good even if none of the predictions come true. The heart of the message isn't really about the predictions but rather about improving yourself as a person, prayer and developing a personal relationship with God. She talks a lot about loving everyone unconditionally and says "Find in yourself a common ground with all people. See the life which flows through them as the same life which flows through you. Tolerance, then, is easier."
My own opinion is I think it is most likely really Mary the mother of Jesus who is giving the message but even if it isn't then I think it is an imposter that is giving good advice. If none of the predictions come true and 2012 is nice and normal that's fine but I think we should always be ready for anything and everything. Yogananda said that you should be able to stand unshaken amidst the crash of breaking worlds.
In the messages Mary isn't ever referred to as the Virgin Mary because in the book she says Jesus came in a divine way like it says in the bible but after that she had children with Joseph and it doesn't say anything about them being conceived in a supernatural way so you assume she had her other children with Joseph in the standard way. Pardon me if I'm taking this thread in a completely different direction but then that happens frequently. Everything is interrelated. Earthquakes, the future, Jesus, you and me, computer programming and everything else.
I have a spiritual notebook that I enter my thoughts into and also write down quotes from various sources. A quote from Mary's Message to the World. "It is through a facing of problems that man grows. ... It is in confronting problems and solving problems that you are strengthened." I think computer programmers can relate to that.

I've got some bad news for you: Since the death rate is still one per person, that statement is true for EVERY year.
The rest of it sounds a lot like the astrology columns you see in the papers. Of course, in your case they are written out to book length, but the principle is still the same. As long as the advice has some general applicability, it will appear meaningful. You rarely see fortunes told in highly specific terms, but they can be entertaining when they are. A buddy of mine recently got a fortune cookie with a fortune that read: Ignore your last cookie.

See, that's a very solid, sound and highly specific piece of advice!! And that too from a fortune cookie!!
Seriously though what will be the impact of the quake, tsunami and now the nuclear disaster on Japan as well as the rest of the world?

Doesn't sound like bad news to me. But I think you know what was meant. If the predictions come true then many people would lose their lives in 2012 not from natural causes like old age, etc. But if none of it comes true that's fine with me. I'm just saying you should always be ready for anything and everything. Everyone passes out of thier bodies sooner or later.
