Re: Dual Internet
I don't think Windows is capable of juggling two different connections at once.

Re: Dual Internet
So it means this is impossible?

Re: Dual Internet
It isn't a Windows issue, it's a TCP/IP routing issue. Unless you hard-code some routes the TCP/IP stack will naturally use whichever path has its default gateway. This router is called "default" because that's which is used without an explicit route mapping set.
Generally there is nothing to be gained by multihoming your PC unless you want it to act as a gateway for an internal network.

Re: Dual Internet
My usb broadband internet is too fast in downloading the speed is 2mbps, and my wifi at home is only 512kbps. so i want to take all the downloading in my broadband and to not interrupt the speed of my broadband i want to use my wifi for my surfing. I have one only pc so i am thinking if this is possible.
I also conclude my self that this is impossible, because the only possible thing to do is multi lan network in one pc. Two network joined by one computer.

If I understand correctly and you want use your usb for the internet on your pc rather than your current internet connection why not use the laptop and the server and connect the pc(s) to it via the network and disconnect the internet connection currently on your pc?

Re: Dual Internet
What you want is policy based routing. This is configurable in Linux, but not Windows. The only other way to do it is to set up a virtual machine and either give the VM exclusive access to the USB modem or set up a network bridge across the wireless interface.

No, I want to use my USB Broadband to download big files and second the wifi caming to the DSL.
I want to use both internet in one laptop.

Re: Dual Internet
As stated above, the only way of doing it is to set up a Virtual machine and use that to connect to the broadband via USB. Virtual Box should be sufficient for your needs;

Re: Dual Internet
In the virtual machine what connection do i need to use? The broadband?
I am using VMware right now when i connect to my wifi using my real desktop my vmware also have internet connection. How could i remove this connection. I think vm getting connection to the host w/c is my real interface. And how to read my vm the usb of my broadband?

Re: Dual Internet
Plug in your USB modem and give the virtual machine exclusive access to it. then install the modem on your VM and connect through there.

Re: Dual Internet
It can be? Because my VM have already internet connection. I mean VM getting already internet connection to the DSL.

Re: Dual Internet
This is no doubt down to a NET / Bridge network adapter you have added to the machines virtual hardware. If you disable these you will no longer have an Internet connection.

Re: Dual Internet
One more question. Why when i set my virtual os to 1gb memory and 128mb video card when i run 3d games. The game not work and saying that it is not supported the 3d acceleration.

Re: Dual Internet
Running 3d games on a virtual machine is generally not a good idea. I think there is an additional download for virtual box which allows VM's to support 3d acceleration but even with that, the performance be affected by the fact that you are running it on the virtual machine.

Re: Dual Internet
Why? The VM can't virtualize my video card?

Re: Dual Internet
A virtual machine can virtualize a video card. However, video cards have their own processors and RAM; these processors are often a lot more powerful than your main processor and the bus between its memory and its processor has a much higher bandwidth. This enables it to handle the complex calculations required to render 3D graphics.
On a normal (non virtualized) machine, the operating system is able to communicate directly with the graphics card and completely bypass the processor making optimum use of its on-board processor and RAM.
However, when virtualized, these calls must be passed first through the emulation layer presented by the virtual machine software (via the processor) before reaching the graphics card. This introduces enough a delay. Not only this, Direct3d / x (not sure which ??) are difficult to emulate which is why virtual machine software lacks stable support.
Virtual box is capable of providing experimental support as shown here: http://www.virtualbox.org/manual/ch0...guestadd-video
I am not sure about VMWare I think maybe VMWare fusion has experimental support.

Re: Dual Internet
VM ware have also like that and i already enabled the 3D Support. I already configure it and nothing happens still the same error.
When the first process is processor before the video card it will be quick to read because i am not using a pentium class processor i am using right now i7 so if my VM will virtualize my processor also my video card(1gb 256bit).
Maybe the main problem is virtualizing the video card is not totally completed? That is only my fact.

Re: Dual Internet
Well short of googling the problem, my only other advice would be to try and run it in Virtual Box.

Re: Dual Internet
Games that tell you you don't have support for 3d acceleration usually require at least an ATI or NVIDIA card.
Because you're running through a virtual device driver, it isn't recognized, nor is the full potential of the card released.
Virtualization is a very complex subject and has these limitations.
Delete it. They just clutter threads anyway.
