It would be wonderful if 2001 were the year a cure for breast cancer was found!!!!
The notion that we could raise $16 million by buying a book of stamps is powerful!
The US Postal Service recently released its new "Fund the Cure" stamp to help fund breast cancer research. The stamp was designed by Ethel Kessler of Bethesda, Maryland. Instead of the normal $.34 for a stamp, this one costs $.40. The additional $.06 will go to breast cancer research. A "normal" book costs $6.80. This one is only $8.00. It takes a few minutes in line at the Post Office and means so much. If all stamps are sold, it will raise an additional $16,000,000 for this vital research. Just as important as the money is our support.
I urge you to do two things TODAY:
1. Go out and purchase some of these stamps.
2. E-mail your friends to do the same.
Many of us know women and their families whose lives are turned upside-down by breast cancer. It takes so little to do so much in this drive. Please help & pass it on!

You can be involved in the threads I don't think you'll have access to the stamps though so I didn't think you'd be interested!

For you information l am a avid stamp collector, and keep my albums next to my stack of Star Trek gear....hang about, that's Parksie
Great idea, our Post Office would just up the price of stamps, the public would get irrate about it, and John Howard would do a back flip on it. That guy should have been a circus clown.....hang about, he is.

I refuse to tie my hands behind my back and hear somebody say "Bend Over, Boy, Because You Have It Coming To You".

Don't blame me l voted Green. Howard told the web fingered brigade they would get like an extra $20 if they accepted the GST, so naturally they dropped the banjos and rushed down to vote for the little weasel. Come end of year, he is going down, with his possie of weirdos.

Bahhh, my blood still boils.......

Dont underestimate the power of the sexually frustrated.....of all people why did we end up with Howard during these times?
And why do we live in a country that voted for him? (and probably will again as the opposition is about as effective as snails racing through peanutbutter)
I wanna move but every english speaking country has its share of backward banjo playing moonshine swillin leader (USA) or airy fairy pinky lifting tea drinking leader (UK) - I wont count Canadania as its not a real country (the place was created with one of those morphing programs by morphing the UK with the USA...and that's what they got)
Sorry, i'm in a bad mood and being spiteful.
