Resolved [RE-OPEN] After page appears to be loaded...

...it freezes for a few seconds - it really is annoying. Can something be done, please?
I can replicate this behavior on any machine with different network speed, OS, browsers, etc...

Re: After page appears to be loaded...

What's showing in the status bar when it freezes? (Just trying to see if we can identify where/what the issue is.

    Thanks,
    Brad!

When mine 'freezes' (IE or FireFox) it appears it is related to intelltxt? Occasionally, some 'ad' site is displayed on the statusbar also.

Unfortunately, I can't reproduce the issue in order to test and diagnose it.

For me, yes. Whether is is 'fixable' or not, I don't know. Whether what I'm experiencing is the same as RhinoBull, I don't know.

    To reproduce what I'm seeing.
    1) Find a nice lengthy post -- maybe this one, the HitchHiker's Guide
    2) When if finishes loading, start scrolling with wheel mouse or scrollbar & keep it up until....
    3) As soon as the intelltxt starts loading the page freezes

I suspect it is simply because the app is parsing the page to find words to advertise on; and may be something we all have to just live with.

There was maybe half a second in Firefox, but no delay in chrome or Opera or IE.

May be hard to judge. At work, I have very fast pcs and the delay isn't too long. At home, pc is much slower and delay is rather annoying; longer. Additionally, maybe security/anti-virus settings may add to the delay factor.

I'm going to ask some coworkers to check, who may have slower connections and processors. I will report back.

Re: After page appears to be loaded...

So far, nobody is seeing any issue that lasts more than ½ second. I've had people load it in three different parts of the country as well as one in the UK. I will keep asking.

Yes, this issue happens for me too and its only on pages that are large enough to have scrolling needed. Usually first time page loads will cause it to delay/freeze for about a second but when your scrolling and it locks for that second its kinda irritating.

Multiple geograpical locations, computers, OS' and I only run IE8 so cant compare against other browsers.

I have "Number of Posts to Show Per Page" option set to max (60) if that helps troubleshooting/replicating this behavior.

Looks like there are at few bottlenecks and looks like its ad related. Perhaps the ad server or partner has a lag in serving up the data to display.

This was done on the index page with all categories expanded to produce a long page.
