In the virtual machine what connection do i need to use? The broadband?

I am using VMware right now when i connect to my wifi using my real desktop my vmware also have internet connection. How could i remove this connection. I think vm getting connection to the host w/c is my real interface. And how to read my vm the usb of my broadband?
