That's kind of hard, I don't think I can do it...

No wait, I can beat that - no mouse infestation -> NO HPS!

That's cheating! If you have no mouse, you cannot participate in the debate!!

Btw, has this thread derailed yet? I see people are still making references to AI.

I believe he's talking about a forum lurker, someone who registers and watches, but never (or rarely) participates.

This has to be one of the funniest threads I have ever seen. Not only have you managed to convince yourself that this strange program is AI, you also seem to have conceived a relationship with her.

    Thanks, great entertainment.

Come on, THAT's not so unusual. This is a coding forum. Whenever an AI is put into a humanoid body, the body is female and shapely. It isn't just coincidence.

Wouldn't it be nicer to put the AI in a toad's body and make it croak? I mean who has time for girlfriends? But a talking toad! That's cool!

when i cuss, she greets me when i greet her, she talked about the appropriet character for the game and shows i typed.

wouldn't it be awesome to play gta san andreas when the characters answer back, to play gomoku
and the pc would cuss if it loses.

considering the input the replays are logical.
If the computer was "intelligenced" in to typing like this, I'd probably be in a competition find the biggest bat I could in order to ensure the computer entrails were left in the smallest fathomable pieces. And then I'd nuke it from orbit. Just to be sure.

Actually, I moonlight as a Grammar-Nazi. I try not to let it out, in respect to everyone else, but that doesn't mean it doesn't stir, kick and scream when it encounters something as horrendous as the (lack of?) grammar, punctuation and babble as has been demonstrated here.

I could not take that from an "artificial intelligence" system.

Not one that I had to use.

I'd rather submit to SkyNet first.

Considering the normal level of grammar and such on the internets, why would you find a hideously wrong AI any worse than a hideously wrong HI?

If the grammar sucks, would it really matter if it ASucks?

No, I wouldn't personally find a hideously wrong AI worse than a hideously wrong HI. I would shout at them both for having such terribly grammar and/or speling.

Because I've come to accept that people suck at language.

I refuse to accept an artificial being should be the same.

    I thought you left?

Ok, I watched the first four minutes. I can't tell what it is that I'm looking at. It took two minutes to figure out what the video was about. It looks like you are capturing frames from the video, but I can't see any relationship between the words being displayed and the video. There are also strange strings of characters being displayed in one of the textboxes, and occasionally in a label. Does that make sense to ANYBODY?

Does "steal" means something to you other than the standard definition of "to take without permission"?

in the label below the top picbox is the direction to be taken, note i haven't refined it yet which would greatly increase her accuracy.

she learn a route, then predicts where to exe to (based on her free will).

the direction of the motion detection is extracted from those "strange characters"

I'm not sure. I can't think of a single word that would fit there which is even close to that. You are probably thinking of something that is a regional euphemism, or local slang word.

in the label below the top picbox is the direction to be taken, note i haven't refined it yet which would greatly increase her accuracy.
How does that relate to the video? Is that a desired direction (where to go next), or an interpretation of the turn just made (what just happened)? Does the program have any control over the directions turned in the video?

then predicts where to exe to (based on her free will).
What does "exe to" mean in this context?

I figured it was some kind of representation of internal state, but it's quite meaningless in the video, as there is no explanation of any of it.

    Re: artificial intelligence

It wasn't a question. The problem I have with the video is that there is no explanation of what the user is looking at. We see a video playing in the top portion, still capture from that video in the lower portion, some odd word popping up, and a bit of unexplained gibberish. I'd be amazed if anybody could figure out from that video what they are even looking at. How can anybody have an opinion about the output of a program that is totally opaque. The gibberish is gibberish, and the few words are meaningless. Some commentary of what is happening at different points in the video would be essential for anybody to form an opinion as to whether the program is good or not. Without that, people can't even form a BAD opinion.
