Whats the deal with .NET ? Whats so new and wonderful about it ? Where can I get it, how much does it cost, is it even released yet ?

Basically .Net is the new Visual Basic version, which is moving in a new direction as compared with the less substaintial updates from 5 to 6.

I suggest you read Karl Moores stuff on vb-world.com for more info.

its Beta is currently available free from microsoft, and is downloadable at there site. The next version is coming out soon....

Allows deployment to multiple OS apparently.
