Hi again...
i need some help with this: im using VB5 and i'd like to use an animated cursor with my aplication.. i tried with
Screen.MouseIcon = LoadPicture( App.Path & \hourglas.ani")
but i got "invalid picture"... How can i load an animated cursor???????... it's not a ".cur"...

You need to use the SetClassLong(with GCL_HCURSOR) and LoadCursorFromFile APIs
load cursor from file returns a file to a cursor loaded from a filename and setclass long will swap the cursor with your new cursor handle (use the getdesktopwindow API for the hWnd) remember to store the return value of getclasslong and put it back before you end your app
