wash or wipe?

As we have some toilet discussions here I might as well take it up. A Filipino was once reprimanded for washing instead of wiping, it was in another country so I thought I could ask you guys what do you prefer and is it it acceptable to just wash?

Good question. As I understand washing is mainly done in India as some islamic countries. But even there TP is gaining more... let's call it market share.

Toilets tend to be condemned and demolished after I've paid a visit. I'm constantly followed around by a hazmat team that do all the wiping and washing for me. Most convenient. I'm going on tour next year.
