Re: how to divide 100 by 5 equal Individual number
Then tell your friend the answer is 20. 20 is equal to an individual number. Any number is equal to an individual number (itself).
Displays 20.
Sounds like your friend either doesn't know what he is asking you, doesn't know what he is talking about or is playing a joke on you. Or possibly his English is poor and he can't express himself correctly. Maybe if you had him describe it better.

Re: how to divide 100 by 5 equal Individual number
I find the 5th root of 100 (~2.5119) plausible as well as 20. The ALL CAPS explanation is just stupid. I get "my friend asked me something that made no sense so I posted a question online that made no sense". Really? Seems rude to me to waste people's time like this.

Your answer sounds good to me jemidiah!
while I agree it can be rude, it could also be lack of ... higher brain functions (to keep myself from becoming rude). Perhaps they really though it meant something?
It is tough to judge, and when you do often you end up wrong because people are so different. So either I can decide to punish the unmathmatically inclined people to give the rude ones what they deserve or try to help the people who really need it and get taken for a ride by the inconsiderate.
Usually depends on what kind of day I am having

Re: how to divide 100 by 5 equal Individual number
I looked through a few of the OP's posts and they tend to show a pattern of helplessness and poor explanations. I thought calling them on some of their behavior was warranted.
Of course, if I'm wrong I'll be happy to apologize. I just wanted to say there was slightly more data than just the above posts that went into my opinion.

I haven't looked at any other posts by them, so you are a better judge on it then I am.
