    /annoyance/

my neighbors have the following pool in their backyard:

hardly worthy of being called a pool. And they have a pool guy come out and clean it weekly

    Re: /annoyance/

The point of a pool is to be a place filled with cool water. If you happen to be able to afford a bunch of models to go with it, all the better (though it had best be all female models, or else you won't be able to compete). That pool looks like it has water. The water can certainly be kept cool. And therefore, it is a viable pool. As for the weekly cleaning, that's another feature of pools: They get dirty. There are only a few different options for keeping them clean, and they all suck royally.

High tech version of the old school feed troughs the city hoosiers used for pools back in the day. By back in the day, I mean they probably still do. Saw a picture from 1980 today that had a backyard pool/feed trough in it.

Yeah but that pool is hardly a pool and they are paying someone to clean it. We had a similar above ground pool, hardly any effort was needed to keep it clean as long as you added chemicals and changed the filter every once in a while.

Maybe the pool boy is cleaning more than the pool.

    dclamp,
Did the pool guy take over your job?
Everything that has a computer in will fail. Everything in your life, from a watch to a car to, you know, a radio, to an iPhone, it will fail if it has a computer in it. They should kill the people who made those things.- 'Woz'
