Strange Error!
Hi there!
In windows2000, whenever I try to run an ASP file, I am getting the following error. Other files (htm, gif etc in the virtual Directory is running well).
"Server Application Error" "The server has encountered an error while loading an application during the processing of your request. Please refer to the event log for more detail information. Please contact the server administrator for assistance."
Please help me.

Well, what does the event log say?
... I guess that should be "how does the event log read," but I would probably get the answer, "very well, actually."
So... what is the event log entry?

Hi CiberTHuG!
I am using the W3c format log file, and this is the entry in today's log file.
Code:
#Software: Microsoft Internet Information Services 5.0
#Version: 1.0
#Date: 2001-06-13 14:15:04
#Fields: time c-ip cs-method cs-uri-stem sc-status
14:15:04 127.0.0.1 GET /Leasewave/MainLogin.asp 500
I couldn't get any clue out of this. Hope this helps u to reply.

Not the web log. The NT Event log.

*giggles* I'm sorry, but yes, the Event Log. This smells like a problem with the ASP engine and IIS as an application, not a problem in your ASP script.
