Visual Basic compatibility

Hey guys I was asked to create a program (very simple one, I was creating a notepad) in visual basic for my friend to prove that I could actually make a program in vb. I finished it and debugged it like 10 times to make sure it worked. Then I sent the .exe file to him and at the moment I was waiting for it failed!!! Why is it that the program can only run on my computer? the error says requires some framework. I tried updating his computer so many times and it keeps coming to this please help. Thanks

As the error suggests you will need the framework. Have a read of what its all about.
