Some new Apple products (Shuffle, Nano, Touch, TV, iTunes)

    So,

Apple has released some new products, and, well, as usual, I'd like to hear what you think of them.

There's the iPod Shuffle, which doesn't seem that awesome to me, but nonetheless it's a little smaller and includes buttons like the 2nd gen model, as well as voice control like the 3rd (previous) gen model, it's priced at $49 for a 2GB model.

There's the iPod Nano, which is now like a small iPod Touch. It's got a 1.54" (diag) multi-touch display, it also now includes a clip like the Shuffle, it's priced at $149 for the 8GB model or $179 for the 16GB model.

There's the iPod Touch, which now includes the A4 chip in the iPhone 4, a retina display, 3-axis gyroscope, FaceTime, HD video + camera, and it's slightly slimmer, it starts at $229 for the 8GB model.

There's the Apple TV, which is now 1/4th the size, has no storage space, and no longer allows you to buy anything (lol). It lets you rent HD content (when available) from the store, TV shows are will be priced at 99c and first run hollywood movies for $5.99. It let's you stream videos, pictures, and music from your computers, and you can stream them from an iPod Touch or iPhone (and maybe iPad) to the TV. It also lets you stream Netflix videos if you're a subscriber, and it's priced at $99.

And last, there's iTunes 10. I'm happy with the improvements and additions, such as Ping. But, I it's probably not going to sway you if you don't already use it or like it.

I'm curious to see if any of you like these revisions or not (I'm looking for other perspectives, other than my own), I'm tossing up getting the 8GB iPod Touch instead of an iPhone 4, and I'm also pleased with the Apple TV. I like the Nano too, but don't need one. And, I wish Netflix would come to Australia!

I feel like we have gone through a time warp. Haven't the Shuffle and the Nano been out for years?

I can almost make a joke about the Shuffle, but it probably wouldn't be understood by most people here. In fact, it might not be understood by ANY of the people here, including myself, so I will refrain.

Well, at least you can't say Apple isn't innovative. While everyone else is selling bigger and bigger TVs, Apple appears to be boasting one that is 1/4th the size. I would suggest that they keep on shrinking the thing down until all you have for a screen is one multi spectrum LED. At that point, the programs would be just as bad as they are now, but at least they wouldn't do any harm.

Ah. I see you have the machine that goes Ping.

Sure, but there are always yearly revisions.

Just in case you didn't know, the Apple TV is just a box. You connect it to your TV.

Lol. I didn't quite get that, but it made me laugh anyway.

I hate iTunes, I don't like the fact that the iPhone 4 is pricier because of its screen, and I don't use any other Apple product.

    Hmm, interesting lol.

Mmm, I don't believe I fall under that category lol.

Anyhow, anyone who's interested, this game was demo'd during the Keynote: Epic Citadel, there's a demo of it on the App Store at the moment. (The stills at the link don't do it justice).

I've never seen graphics so good before on a mobile device. What I saw on my 3GS is comparable to high quality PC games, reflections, shadows, textures, lighting, such amazing quality, there isn't an app like it on the App Store. I tried it on my mums iPad as well, the graphics are truly beautiful -- I'd love to see it on a retina display

Since this thread was started over 2000 children have died from hunger worldwide. Also, historically, starvation has been used as a death sentence. People would be 'caged' and left to die.

Please enjoy this picture of a young girl suffering from the effects of severe hunger and malnutrition while you also enjoy your nth revision of your Nano, or whatever.

It's pretty hard to do, but you've ticked me off. How about you get out of this thread? That's just plain disturbing and sad, and your sarcastic troll-like post isn't appreciated. How about you do something about it then huh? Your post is just rude and insulting too.

That's one quick way to kill another pointless thread.

    Well done.
Delete it. They just clutter threads anyway.

Now don't reverse the troll here.
It's been more than often expressed that pretty much nobody cares about apple crap here, so the one trolling here would be you.

It's nothing more than a moral slap in the face.

If you'd buy a PC of the same 'power' you could spare out roughly $200, for which you can feed a child in Africa for more than 2 years.

Culture is rubbish. We are born, we go to school, we work, we die. Why do we need culture?

Are you kidding me? I'm not a troll and I don't care what you say people care about, I was looking forward to genuine replies, and I got several, some were even funny. And then Fire makes an insulting post as well as a "troll post" entirely intended to provoke an angry response from me... that is what a troll is.

The fact you and Fire show such contempt for any threads related to Apple shows how much you both need to grow up, seriously. Find something better to do with your time than ruin other people's threads.
It's nothing more than a moral slap in the face.
No, it's not, it's a shocking thing to post. And, intended only to troll me. Try not being so rude or insulting.

Both of you need to grow up. Don't like my thread? Don't post. We aren't even talking about computers for goodness sakes.
    @Icyculyr,
What's your point? Do you really think I'm trying to sell you Apple products? I couldn't care any less about what you buy. I just wanted opinions, and you had to go and ruin this thread. Also, that's probably the most stupid and idiotic quote I've ever read.

Why do you keep creating these threads? You know what exactly the kind of responses you're going to get.

Icy, you're already aware of the kind of response you're going to get in a thread like this. I've explained it to you before, and you've even seen it before - and look, it's happening again! Again - either you refuse to understand or you don't understand. If you need an explanation regarding this phenomenon, PM me.
