I need to learn the basics of SQL .. the Server /client and the language. Programming with VB6. I have sql 7. Any suggestions on what books are the best? I've found 10 on barnesandnoble.. but i'm not buying them all. <grin>

Well, I have heard that the Sams Teach yourself SQL in 21 days (or 24 hours) is pretty good:

You can also download the SQL 7 books online for free from the M$ site, it has lotsa good T-SQL stuff in there
