i have installed MySQL 5.5
the wizard came while installing MySQL has done all the job & set the root password

but my problem is MySQL client is not asking for any user name, but instead it asks only for the password, and even i can't login as another user i to MySQL whats wrong is here please

i am using command line client
it was installed by the MySQL server instance configuration wizard (came with MySQL msi)

For most commandline clients and servers you can specify the user by using the parameter '-u [username]'.
