Visual SourceSafe - Open database problem
I have Visual SourceSafe running on a server accessible to all. I can open my VSS database from my PC.
On the new PCs we're trying to set up, we have access to the server. When opening VSS, I browse to the directory which has the srcsafe.ini file, choose it and click open. The dialog box with the database's name shows up and I press OK.
But the database does not appear in the Open SourceSafe Database screen list.
I've tried copying the entire VSS directory to the C drive of the new PC with no success.
Any suggestions on how to get this working would be appreciated. Thanks!

Re: Visual SourceSafe - Open database problem
What version of VSS and what version of VS are you integrating it with? Was it upgraded at all? What is the server OS and which client OS does work, if any

Re: Visual SourceSafe - Open database problem
VSS Explorer-32 bit. Version 6.0d (Build 31222).
I'll have to find out the answers to the other questions but we are Windows based if that helps.
