    How do i deactivate sorting in my dgv after a certain button is clicked?

    I believe you would use something like this for each column
    Code:
    For Each aColumn as DataGridViewColumn In yourGrid.Columns
   aColumn.SortMode = DataGridViewColumnSortMode.NotSortable
