Can someone explain what are sockets exactly in VB
I'm sorry if it sound a daft question, but I've been looking through books, and through VB-World, and I cannot quite understand what does Socket mean, or what is it exactly, what it function, is it the same as Winsock? I'm sorry it sound a daft question. Thanks to anyone to reply.

I think that socket is only a name you often use on Winsock controls when you program. I'm using it often...
But I don't know if you have found something in VB that says Socket...
