    Basic COM I/O

    This is a really basic question but
    How do you
    A: Send information to the rs232 and
    B: Receive data from it.

    I'm trying to integrate a VB app with an external PIC microprocessor and would appreciate any help there may be in the vast lake of knowledge shared between the VB-World users...

    You need to use MSComm control.
