Why is calculus a suffix on non-calculus topics?

    Examples:
    Situational calculus
    Event calculus
    Predicate calculus
    Propositional calculus
    Fluent calculus
    Lambda calculus

They're not real calculus, but they're derivatives of it.
    I use VB 6, VB.Net 2003 and Office 2010

    Code:
Excel Graphing | Excel Timer | Excel Tips and Tricks | Add controls in Office | Data tables in Excel | Gaussian random number distribution (VB6/VBA,VB.Net) | Coordinates, Vectors and 3D volumes

Well, prior to calculus becoming a mathematical thing, it was a general term for calculation. Therefore, it is used for any situation where calculating is integral to the problem.

It certainly wasn't as clean as Zaza's answer, but touched on the truth of the matter while reaching for a pun.

Does calculus teach you how to add?

If so, then I need to take it so I can balance my checkbox.

The only way I could see it being balanced is if you graphed Abs(YourValue)

Don't be silly, any even-order polynomial function will balance.
