im trying to make a application that does what this site does

but in vb
so the app would download the vid and then convert it then save it
is that possible?

Just so you are aware, it is definitely against the Youtube terms of use - this quote below is taken from the Youtube website (http://www.youtube.com/t/terms)

you agree not to access User Submissions (defined below) or other content made available on the Website (including YouTube Content, as defined below) through any technology or means other than the video playback pages of the Website itself, the YouTube Player, or such other means as YouTube may explicitly designate for this purpose;

Of course if you want to break those terms of use then thats up to you but just thought I would point it out for anyone else that finds this thread
