File Not Found ???

Hi Iam Using This Code to return app path it works good on my pc but on any other system it give the right path but an error also came
The specified file not found

Get rid of that function altogether and just use Application.StartupPath or My.Application.Info.DirectoryPath.

It looks like you're trying to use DAO and it's not installed on your system. Why are you trying to use DAO in a .NET app? It's outdated even for VB6. If you want data access you should use ADO.NET.

Brother I have also an other software same issu with it and there is no DAO it just read a text file but same error come

If the error message says that it can't find a file then it can't find file, plain and simple. If DAO is not installed then you can't use DAO. If you haven't distributed your text file or created it then you can't use it. You have to make sure that any system that runs your app has all the files required or yopur app won't work.

this it true but in vb6 app tell as about missing component like mscomctl32.ocx is missing what is the trick to check the missing component on vb.net

There is no trick. You are seeing exactly the same message that VB6 would show, it just gives you loads more information. VB6 shows the messagebox like you say ... is missing, whereas .Net gives you a whole stack telling you what it has and what it needs.
