Don't care who, just not me.

Professionals. Computer case? IT. Medical malpractice? Doctors.

I really don't mind serving in a jury. After all, it's my civic duty.

I want your opinion - who should fill the jury box?

Re: Who should be in jury duty?
I don't like the middle option. I can't see doctors ever supporting ANY malpractice, no matter how egregious, nor would I expect computer professionals to vote for anything less than the death penalty for anybody accused of spamming.
Frankly, I'm not sure what computer case would come before the court as such, except for one I had that was so darn sharp that I bled profusely whenever I worked on it. That sucker was a crime against humanity.

I don't like the jurry system. I don't like the idea of 12 half-wits, average joes/janes deciding my fate. And from an economic stand point, spending hours and hours (which translates to loads of cash) explaining the law, computer sciences, medicine, forensics and anything else involved in the case to those half-wits, just so they can make their "informed" decision.

There should be a minimum IQ requirement. Frankly speaking, most americans shouldn't even be entitled to their own opinion.

People collecting unemployment benefits!
AND
Retired People.
Everything that has a computer in will fail. Everything in your life, from a watch to a car to, you know, a radio, to an iPhone, it will fail if it has a computer in it. They should kill the people who made those things.- 'Woz'

Re: Who should be in jury duty?
Last time I had jury duty, I got buzzed at lunch before the voire dire. Must have been obvious, I was dismissed quickly after lunch. If I had known it was that easy, I would have had beers for breakfast.
Personally, I'd rather work out a plea deal then face a jury of my "peers".

Who knows. I didn't meet all the people in the world to grade their qualifications. The bad thing is, if I am, I don't care enough to bother. Also, I keep my nose clean and keep to myself so hopefully I wont get into a situation where I will be judged like that. Also, I don't live in the US so that makes me care even less.

Re: Who should be in jury duty?
I only served on jury duty once back in 1996 when I was living in Los Angeles. I'm fortunate that I've been able to dodge it in recent years because I live in Imperial County now but I have a zip code that is both Imperial County and Riverside County. I get jury duty notices from Riverside County so I can legitimately claim that I don't reside in Riverside County which is one way to be excused from service. If Imperial County courts start sending me notices then I don't think I'll have any legitimate way to be excused from service. If that happens that's ok with me. I'll be happy to serve but I'm also happy to be excused from service.

Make as many mistakes as you can as quickly as you can. We want to make sure that we make a great enough number of mistakes in a given amount of time so that we can be successful.

I have done it before, you need a mixed group of people to make it work though or it will be biased. Its not all that bad either.
