Re: Where to Download VS 2008 ?
You didn't dig hard enough:
http://www.microsoft.com/express/Dow...8-Visual-Basic
Then click the third tab for Visual Studio 2008 Express... then the link for " Visual Basic 2008 Express Edition"

oh, just noticed, must have been too pissed with vs 2010 to notice it.

Edit, so the help file usage is really this bad in 2010 or I simply did not understood how to use it or something?

Re: [Solved] Where to Download VS 2008 ?
it's different from previous incarnations. Following install, there should have been a button to mash that would have taken you to another app that allows you to configure what you grab online and what to download and install locally. Now 1) this was with the recent final release last week 2) I have the Ultimate version, not sure how it differs from Express in that regard 3) I'd been alerted to its purpose through another thread here (see the Visual Studio 2010 First Impressions thread) so I knew what to look for.
Lastly, I do know that the help was seriously lacking in the Betas and RC versions... but that's to be expected as it's probably being updated offline and isn't actually released until the product goes live.
