    Restore bakup into sql express which has more than 4 gb size

    Hi,

    I have a bakup file of size 7 gb and need to restore it into sql express 2008. its getting failed. can be restored into developer edition.

    any workaround to restore into sql express edition of size more than 4 gb

    No ... The limit for a database size is 4GB in SQL Express.

    Gary is right. It cannot be done.

    That's trying to write on page #201 of a 200 page notebook.
