    Resolved [RESOLVED] XP File Sharing

I just installed XP on a new computer.

For some reason I can't share files:

Can someone please explain how to enable these options?

This is on ALL folders and drives on the computer, even folder on USB drives etc.
If I turn Simple File Sharing off, I cannot even get to this screen.

Sorry, I can't remember if it was the same way of enabling file sharing in xp than it is in Vista. As you may have guessed I use Vista.

    Re: XP File Sharing

Are you by chance on a network? The only time I've ever seen XP not allow file sharing (other than corporate policy, which isnt the case here) is when you install XP and there's no network adapters installed, have you checked that it's installed?
Currently using VS 2015 Enterprise on Win10 Enterprise x64.

    Re: XP File Sharing

Yep. There originally wasn't any adapters, I had to install the drivers for one.

    Edit:

Wow, I swear I restarted it.

    Obviously not.

    Thanks any way.

Solution: Restart after installing Ethernet Drivers, lol.
