I see several options -- rows and cols refer to:
1. an Excel worksheet
2. a MSFlexGrid on your VB6 form
3. something else

I think he is saying about the Worksheets in EXCEL. 
Also, it's VBA (not VB6). So, I think this thread is more suited in Office Development Section
